Riverwalk Halloween Parade - Trunk or Treat 2024

Our annual Halloween Trick or Treating event is scheduled to take place again this year, with the same platform as the last three years. It is going to be a parade route, that will take place with your own transportation. Anything goes ... however you decide to safely transport your kiddos. In the meantime, we are trying to see who would be interested in being a stop along the route. You can decorate a table, your trunk or simply place some chairs out at the end of your driveway to hand out candy to all the trick or treaters that come by. It is your stop, and you can get creative as you would like! This event will be taking place, Saturday, October 26th, from 6-9PM or until the candy runs out! 

We're seeking candy donations from all our residents to be able to supply all stops that need it We have two designated candy drop-off points in the neighborhood that you can drop your donations by anytime, any day of the week. These locations have residents' home at them and will be checking the drop boxes on their porch periodically throughout the day to bring the candy in, so there is no need to notify them when making the drop unless you feel the need to. Each drop will have a bin on the front porch with a sign reading Candy Drop. You can place your bags in there.

If you would like to take part in the fun and provide a Trunk-or-Treat along this route, please let us know by simply responding to this post, or e-mail 1auren.miller146@gmail.com as soon as possible, with Riverwalk Halloween Parade in the subject line. Please include your name, address, phone number and if you would like candy donations as well. Once all the donations are in, we will sort the candy amongst all the stops registered and have it distributed evenly for each one. Days leading up to this event, we will contact you with candy pickup details. 

Also, there were a few people last year that were interested in setting up their Trunk-or-Treats at the park. This is still an option, and those of you that want to can. Reach out and let us know and we will show your place on the map as well.) 

Below, you can see an example of last year's trick or treat map. You can view this map live on Google. The map is scarce now but will be updated as you all reach out and have your house added. The final revision with all stops included will be posted on October 25th. This year's event, we would like to have two different starting points to help with the flow and speed of the traffic. One starting at the park entrance and the other starting near the front of the neighborhood. Once we get closer to finalizing our routes, these two starting points will be pinpointed on the map. 

You can find all this information, as well as any updates to come posted on Riverwalk's Next-door and Facebook pages as well as on the marquee on Riverwalk Dr as it is available. We appreciate all your support and please know that many safety precautions will be implemented for safe traveling and the wellbeing of all our residents.
